Principal, Business Development

Sam Swinbank, P.E. currently serves as a principal for business development at EEA Consulting Engineers - now an employee-owned company founded in 1977. Sam established EEA's Senior Living practice, and is growing our/EEA’s practice areas of Central Plants, Commercial, Commissioning, Education, Electrical, Federal, Government, Healthcare, High Tech, Hospitality, Sustainable Design, et. al. 

In the past two decades, Sam's entrepreneurial spirit and highly-technical MEP Engineering background have produced sophisticated designs, energy modeling, and BIM modeling.

His recent experience as Engineer of Record includes: CAPA UP Mechanical and GCS Systems at Samsung Semiconductor (Austin), 175'-tall residential high-rise near UT Tower (Austin), 75'-tall residential mid-rise near Texas Capitol Building (Austin), 75'-tall residential mid-rise near Pearl Harbor (Honolulu), 3000-ton Central District Cooling Plant and 23-acre underground chilled water distribution system near the University of Texas (Austin), and 175'-tall residential high-rise near Waikiki Beach in Honolulu.

Sam received his Bachelor of Science in engineering in 1998 and his MBA in 2004 both from The University of Texas at Austin. He's licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas, New Mexico, Idaho, and Hawaii. He and his wife Jennifer met in 2006 and have a three-year-old daughter named Ava.
