William K. Klock

Vice President and Chief Technical Officer

Bill Klock is vice president and chief technical officer. He's served as lead on commercial, institutional, retail, and manufacturing projects. Bill also mentors younger engineers in the retail and commercial markets.

Employed by EEA since 1993, Bill brings more than 30 years of industry experience in the design of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering. 
As a project manager, Bill's team has designed more than 1,000 retail stores across national retailers like GAP, Inc., H&M, William-Sonoma, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, Coldwater Creek, West Elm, Quicksilver, Fossil, and Pottery Barn. He's also designed multi-story office complexes, school buildings, police centers, border patrol stations, and university buildings. Bill has been involved in providing designs to support manufacturing for clients such as 3M, Frito Lay, Silicon Labs, and HEB. Bill's experience also includes the healthcare and senior living markets with projects for Austin Regional Clinic, St. David's Hospital, amongst others.

Bill has worked as a volunteer for the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for more than 20 years, serving at the local, regional, and Society levels. This included time on the Society Board of Directors, and service as the ASHRAE Region VIII Chair, ASHRAE Region VIII Vice Chair for Chapter Technology Transfer, and Austin ASHRAE Chapter President.

Bill received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1982. He's a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in more than 35 states and is an Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certified by the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership.
